| There is a distinct difference between the two swords of these two religions. Islam does not mean peace nor does its writings promote peace, as evidenced by this "glorious tribute" to admired martyr of Jihad: Khattab. A Christian wrote under another video these words of differentiation. "Our church is not built of stone, our real Church is inside our hearts! You can put fire in our bodies, in our churches or in our Bibles! You can put fire in all Earth, it does not matter fanatic Muslins! You are the losers and we Christians, we are the winners! Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord! Muhammed is a slave of Satan in hell!" Can you see the difference between these religions? |
You may have heard the Bible verse from Jesus’ own words.
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10: 34.
This verse has been misrepresented as a call to arms when it is not a call to violence for Christians. It is a warning to the disciples as they went out about what would happen as they approached an unbelieving, sinful world with the truth of the gospel. It would spiritually divide families as people came to Christ because some would not believe and some would. Some would resist the calling of the Holy Spirit. The cutting power of the Word of God is powerful. It is the Sword of the Christian in this world. Our Sword is not of this world. Unlike Islam, it is not a sword of violence but a spiritual sword that judges sin.
……”the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6: 17
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4: 12
When Peter cut off the ear of the soldier, Jesus reattached it. Here is the attitude of the second person of the Godhead as he gave us an example of how to walk among men.
“Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” Matthew 26: 52
Christianity is properly spread by preaching and spreading the good news of the gospel. The purpose is to reach out in love to the unsaved and unbelieving whether, nominal churchgoer, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, New Age, Atheist. The Christian is motivated by love and what Christ did on the cross for them. That is why we have been given this powerful weapon, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This Sword of the Spirit will rightly divide truth. God is not willing for anyone to die in their sins. Those who do, just choose to.
As stated, Christianity is not properly spread by conquest. The Bible does not tell us to subdue our enemies and kill them for our God like the Quran commands. Is the Sword of Islam different than the Sword of the Christian? Yes. Islam is spread by the sword of aggression. Read what is commanded in the Quran by what is referred to as: Verse of the Sword:
“So when the forbidden months are passed, so kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and take them (as captives), and besiege them and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush, so if they repent and perform the prayer and give the legal alms, so leave their way free.” Quran 9: 5
Violence is spreading in Syria, Egypt and around the world. Conquest in the name of Allah is on the rise. We see the senseless massacre of people, regardless of their faith, done in the name of a merciless "god". Oddly enough, per the Quran, Islamists call Allah "merciful" and blindly follow Mohammed the prophet to their own spiritual destruction. I am so sad about their souls. This is an odd definition of mercy, isn't it?
Now, through the movement of Chrislam, one way they are seeking to conquer is through peaceful Jihad. They are "schmoozing" the unwary Christians who believe in a god of peace and love. If these “People of the Book”, the polytheists, can just agree with them to worship their Allah (the Arabic word for God.) as children of Abraham, then perhaps they can conquer them before they even know what happened. And many have taken the bait as some now blindly agree with them that we worship the same god.
As a step to compromise, think about this: If it means your life, will you say the Shahada declaring faith in Allah and his messenger, Mohammed? Would you, as a spiritual coward, be willing to dethrone Jesus and worship a different Arabic Allah than the one found in the Bible? This Quran's Allah demands your submission? I believe this could happen to an ungrounded fearful churchgoer. Once you are conditioned to accept a compromise in your faith, as a believer in Chrislam, that next step would be much easier to do, wouldn’t it?
There are two distinctly different swords. Christianity's sword is the Bible used to spread the good news through the "foolishness" of preaching. The Islamic sword is fierce and spreads the message of god through aggression and forced submission. We are seeing this in the Middle East as Islam attempts to set up a Caliphate with the desire to take over the world for Allah. That is a big difference between the two. There again, it cannot be the same god.
